Q: Change to programme – January 4th

This Thursday 4 th January 2024 we now have David and Pamela Severn. Their talk is entitled 'The Pam and I' and in the first half Pamela will talk about her journey to obtain her latest award from the PAGB and in the second half David will describe what is new at Studio3, their business in Long Eaton, for the 2024 season and his continuing avoidance of the use of photoshop! They are bringing prints for the break.

Our new programme for the upcoming 2023-2024 season is now available to view by clicking here . There are a few details left to confirm, but as you can see there’s a good variety of activities to look forward to over the coming months. Q: Programme Update – March 23rd

Quick programme update on the 23 rd March. David Keep , will be presenting on Thursday Night. He is locally based and an internationally recognised expert on Underwater Photography , who pre-covid visited us with a superb presentation. There were plans at the time for him to come back, but like many of these things, it was curtailed by Covid. I am pleased to say that he will be delivering a new presentation on Underwater photography , with absolutely stunning images, and a explanation of how they were captured. It should be a superb night. Q: Annual Competition results 2020-2021

The final competition of the year showcased many of the lockdown projects members have been involved with over the year. The annual competition is an open comp that allows members to enter any type of image, in normal years we would expect to see images members have created when they have been out and about traveling, visiting events, and generally going on with their busy lives. We all know this year has been different and this has greatly restricted member's normal options for photography, however, the annual comp showed what is possible if you try something new. Many members have tried new techniques or styles of photography and the high quality of images submitted was commented on by the judge. Well done to Keith Michell for winning the comp with his great image of a kingfisher and to runners-up Tony Pedley and Alastair Moore.
