There are the usual landscapes, wildlife, still life, events and transport (trains), plus Ill go into more depth about how I processed my images (Lightroom and Photoshop). This talk also includes examples of my first attempts at stereoscopic photographs (3D) and covers how to take and view them (I’ll bring some stereoscopes). |
25/09/25 | Phone Competition | Mobile Phone Competition. Our first competition of the year is open to all members; the only criteria is all photos must be taken on a mobile phone. Your mobile phone is the camera you always have with you so have a look in your phones picture library for that winning image. As with all our competitions the images will be judged be an independent judge in a positive way with constructive comments on how to improve the image. Members can submit up to four images, further guidance on how to prepare images for comps will be given a couple of week before the competition. |

Tom Tivey Club competition. This competition is named after our former Chairman Tom Tivey. Tom was a groundbreaking wildlife and landscape photographer, and this competition is themed around these two subjects. Members can submit up to three prints and three images for projection.

The Albanian Connection – A race from London to Tirana by public transport |
In August 2024, Ian was involved in a race from London to Albania, a journey of almost 2000 miles, which was undertaken almost entirely using public buses, trains and a ferry and which took him through some vastly varied landscapes. Illustrated using shots taken on an iPhone, he will tell the story of the race and then the long journey back through the Balkans. |
