Victorian Photo Studio – National Heritage Open Day – W. W. Winter, 45 Midland Road, Derby

Join us to celebrate the 10th anniversary of National Heritage Open Days!
W. W. Winter Photographers will be opening their doors to the public on the 11th, 12th and 13th September for Heritage Tours of the building and business.
Winters’ is the oldest photographers in the East Midlands – the doors opened on this purpose built photo studio in 1867 and the business is still running today.
Explore the original studio and daylight retouching rooms, view antique cameras and vintage equipment, see historical photography displays.
Suitable for all ages, entry is free.

They will also be joined by Geoff Blackwell ARPS, writer and researcher and Council Member of The Royal Photographic Society who will be giving a talk on ‘The Origins of Photography and the East Midlands’.
