Photography at Ferrers!

The Ferrers Centre for Arts & Crafts at Staunton Harold has launched a 2013 Photography Competition – they are looking to produce a series of new promotional postcards and would like you to take the photographs! Selected finalists images will also be exhibited to the public at the Ferrers Centre and six winning images will be framed courtesy of Ferrers Frames.

The Staunton Harold Estate has many seasonal highlights and is a beautiful area that visitors enjoy spending time in. We are looking for photographs that capture the atmosphere of the area for example; a view of Staunton Harold Hall and the National Trust church, a walk with the dog along the Ivanhoe Way, the sun streaming through the National Forest’s Noon Column, children playing chess in the Ferrers Centre courtyard, or the sun setting over the lake.

Entry is free and is open to all amateur photographers. Participants may enter up to three photographs each. There are two categories – Open and Junior (for under 14’s) and all entrants must complete an entry form to be considered. For competition details and how to enter please visit

Deadline for entries is 31st August so get out there and happy snapping!
