Photographic Trip Tuesday 13th May Belper - Gallery Added
A Gallery of pictures for the trip has been added to the Galleries Page , with pictures from Jan Chesterfield and Lorraine Dowell already published
Having cancelled the photo workshop in limestone country on Sunday, due to forecast adverse weather, here is a short alternative on Tuesday 13th May leaving Castle Square at Melbourne at 6pm and getting back before last orders. The trip has been shortened to reduce the amount of travelling time, and to fit it in within a work day, and the venues have changed, but contains some similar themes. Suggest car sharing would be a good idea.
The plan for the trip is
Belper Water Gardens and East Mill Weirs. The opportunities to practice the skills on flowers and the complex of large weirs and the mill buildings.
Travel to the Cromford & Wirksworth area.
Depending on time, the Cromford Canal with its wildlife and / or Black Rocks with its wide vistas over the north for some superb landscape pictures and the chance of some climbing shots.
Return to Melbourne, possibly via a local public house on the way back
I am doing a bit of research, as I am fairly sure that there are some local locations we can perhaps find some orchids to photograph as well, but that still needs to be confirmed.
Sunset is at 20:55 and the weather forecast is better than Saturday.
