Lea Gardens outing, 21st May.

Update from Ian Pettit 12 May

Lea Gardens 21st May 2015.

I have just spoken to the people at Lea Gardens and that have confirmed they expect us at 18.30 hours. I suggest we all travel independently and meet at the venue for 18.30. I suspect the roads may be busy and suggest giving plenty of time for travel. I think I’ll leave about 17.30. I appreciate that some may find this time a little tight, so arriving a little late I’m hoping won’t be a problem.

We still have only a small number going. If anyone else wishes to come along please let me know, also if transport is required please let me know and we may be able to arrange lifts etc.

Details on how to get there are on their website, address is Lea Gardens, Lea, Matlock DE4 5GH.

This is a great opportunity to visit the little known Rhododendron gardens, at Lea near Cromford. The brilliant coloured flowers cascade down the hillside and there is plenty of opportunities to capture the colourful shrubs, and wildlife in the shelter belt beyond. The event will be led by Ian Pettit, let him know if you are attending.  Entry is £4.00 for members and £5.00 for none members. There is the promise of several good watering holes in the area once the photography has completed. See you there.  http://www.leagarden.co.uk/
