East Midlands Aeropark – Photography Evening – Thursday 26th June 18.00 hours until dusk [about 21.00]

Once again we have the opportunity to visit the heritage aircraft museum based at East Midlands Airport. This was an extremely popular event that last time we visited tow years ago, in spite of the awful weather. The volunteers who run the Aeropark Park made us very welcome.

The evening gives us exclusive access to the park to photograph the museum aircraft and offers a good view of aircraft landing and taking off at the main airport. We will have access inside some of the aircraft. This will depend on the volunteers available and in some cases will incur an extra charge. Please bring sufficient cash with you to pay for this, as this has to be paid on the night. The exact costs are unknown at present and this will depend on the aircraft.  Last time we paid £5 for an on board visit to the Nimrod. You should consider this a guide only.

On are last visit to the Aeropark we were offered to the facilities to hold a BBQ and this applies to this visit.  The charge for the BBQ is £5.00 per person, you should bring your own drinks, either soft or alcoholic.

Admission to the park is a fixed fee and will be paid for by the Society, members will be admitted free and non-members will be asked for an admission fee of £3.50.  Charges for this event are listed below.

If you wish to participate in this event you MUST book a place. The Aeropark require us to notify them in advance of the numbers attending for safety reasons and to ensure they have sufficient volunteers available.  You must also book the BBQ if you wish to participate. This allows us to purchase sufficient food for the numbers required and to keep wastage to a minimum.

To book a place and the BBQ contact Ian Pettit via e-mail on ian.pettit@talk21.com, by Monday 23rd June at the latest.
