4th April, Annual Competition

This event is the final competition of 2018/19 series, and all members are allowed to enter up to 3 prints and 3PDI’s into this prestigious events. There are no restrictions on subject, its up to you to decide what images you enter. Images need to be submitted to Simon no later than the end of day, 31st March 19 via email to simon@envirosafety.co.uk

Wednesday 20th Feb 2018 – Ashby Photographic Soc Competition

The external competition against Ashby Camera Club will take place on Wednesday 20th February at Smisby Village Hall.  This is normally a great competition hosted this year at Ashby’s meeting Hall. Please remember that this is a Wednesday night, and there will be no MPS meeting on the following Thursday night.

 

24th January 2019 – Selection Night

Members will be selecting images for the forth coming external competition with Notts Outlaws.  Members can submit 3 prints and 3 digital images. Full guidance and competition rules are available on the Society Website. Alastair Moore will lead the selection process.

To submit your entries, you need to follow these simple guidelines.

Projected Digital images (PDI)

Sunday before latest , 20th January. Submit your digital images ( up to 3 ) by email to Simon Pearce, that should be sized at 1400 x 1050 , to allow projection. They should be in JPEG format, and the attachment  files should be named the same as the print title. The titles should also be in your email , along with your name

Prints

Print titles should be submitted to Simon on Sunday night as above, and please bring the mounted prints with you on Thursday night. Please make sure it is clear which which are prints and which are PDI’s if submitted in the same email. Please make sure your title and name are in the back, Ideally on a white piece of paper, that can be seen in the dark

It can be a busy night, so please try to arrive before 7:15 with your prints, so that they can be collated for display. Assistance with setting up the room from 7pm would be greatly appreciated as this can be quiet a bust time.

Remember you need to be a fully paid up member to enter the competition.

Panel of Four Results – 10th Jan 2019

Last nights competition was closely fought, with many excellent panels submitted by the members.  There were 23 entries , comprising 138 pictures to be judged by Peter Yeo. Congratulations to the winners of the nights event for their superb work.  This year the panels were all presented as PDI’s.
